It likely won't go on sale. Although if you wait a few months you could probably find used versions for cheaper. Unless it sells extremely badly, which so far doesn't seem to be the case, I think it's pretty unlikely that the price will go down anytime soon. We can't judge from past experience since the Quest 2 actually went up in price first ...
