Snapchat new chat but no message

Only way I've found out to rid of it was to leave chat. There was nothing new showing but once I left chat the notification disappeared. Same here! Same issue here, I even completely disabled the ability for anyone to message me and the notification still won't go away. Good, it's not just me. 😒.
