I’ve disassembled Glock mags a bazillion times by simply inserting the armorer’s tool into the hole in the basepad, all the way to the plastic handle of the tool, and then prying the base pad off of the magazine body. Takes a little force, but always works, and the mag reassembles fine.To take apart a Glock 19, start by ensuring the gun is unloaded, then pull the trigger to release tension on the firing pin.
