The service manager said they only use full synthetic oil in all duramax engines, regardless of generation. 2010 LMM 2500 Sold, 2020 L5P 2500 Sold.

My RWD cars also get their oil and rear axle fluid change around the 1,000 mile point.according to the capacity charts on gm-techlink the oil capacity has been 10 qts. on both 2019/2020 even though the filters changed.
