Definitely a beautiful place to visit. The Pictured Rocks themselves are best seen from the water - cruises go out multiple times a day (run by local outfitters, not the National Park service). That said, there are plenty of other sights along the lakeshore, including a lot of hikes, waterfalls, and viewpoints.
